Photos show aftermath of Nottingham city centre crash which took out traffic lights

Photos show the aftermath of a city crash in which a driver collided with a set of traffic lights.

Police were called to the incident in Shakespeare Street, near its junction with South Sherwood Street, at 3.35pm on Friday, November 12.

A spokeswoman for Nottinghamshire Police said a driver had collided with traffic lights.

No one was injured and the incident is currently not obstructing the road.

At least one police car and a recovery truck have been spotted at the scene.

In an earlier Tweet, Nottingham Travelwise, the city council's traffic monitoring Twitter account, said that a lane in Shakespeare Street had been blocked, leading to delays.
