Emergency services remain at the scene tonight due to an "ongoing incident" at the River Clyde.
Police, fire and ambulance services raced to Broomielaw Road in the city centre following reports of the incident.
Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were in attendance, but could give no further details at this stage.
A police spokesman said: "Police are currently in attendance at an ongoing incident at the River Clyde."
