We all knew this one was going to hit us right in the feels, and boy did it ever. The Boston Celtics beat the Memphis Grizzlies 131-91, but that was not the story of the night as Marcus Smart made an emotional return to the arena he called home court for nearly a decade.
The wire-to-wire affair saw the Celtics hold the Grizzlies to just 38.0% from the field overall, and a mere 28.9% from beyond the arc. Boston also won the march of dimes 30-19 and the rebounding battle 57-45 while picking the pocket of Memphis 11 times to the Griz’ 5.
