First breakfast and pints are served in Liverpool as bars and restaurants reopen

The first post-lockdown breakfasts - and pints - have been served across Liverpool this morning.

Restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs reopen today after months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave venues the go ahead to reopen from today, July 4, in an announcement last month, with the day expected to be huge for the hospitality industry.

At Allerton Manor Golf Club, photographers managed to capture some of the first items being served, including a good old fashioned pint.
