A dedicated photographer waited for three nights to capture these stunning shots of the Milky Way rising above an ancient stone circle on a perfectly clear night.
Andrew Fusek-Peters, 53, needed a clear sky to snap the night sky over the Shropshire hills on Saturday.
He believes he is the first photographer to capture the Milky Way rising above Mitchell's Fold Stone Circle, near White Grit village.
Mr Fusek-Peters spent three hours a night from Thursday to Saturday waiting..
Mr Fusek-Peters, of Lydbury North, Shropshire, said it had been cloudy on Thursday and he got nothing on Friday.
“I’ve got an app on my phone that tells me when the Milky Way is rising. On the final night, it started at about 10:30pm and I only had a 30-minute window of opportunity," he said.
“It’s quite rare to be able to photograph the Milky Way. You can’t have any moon so you need to be near to a new moon and the Milky Way only rises for six months of the year.
"The conditions have to be perfect, without cloud or haze which is a problem in hot weather."

He persisted as he wanted to capture it "before somebody else got there first." As it is so technically difficult to focus on the Milky Way, he's delighted with the results.
Mitchell’s Fold dates back more than 3,000 years ago and is the largest stone circle now remaining in Shropshire.
Mr Fusek-Peters added: "There is a legend that Arthur pulled Excalibur from one of the stones here.
