Photographer Misan Harriman Debunks Accusations Of Photo Manipulation

Misan Harriman, a professional photographer, shared the original color photo he took of the couple.

Misan Harriman, a friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has come forward to address allegations that he manipulated the photo the couple shared to announce the arrival of their second child, Princess Lilibet. Harriman, a professional photographer, posted the original color picture he took of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during a remote photo session in 2021 to refute claims made by the Daily Mail that he doctored the image.

The photograph, taken on an Apple iPad, shows Prince Harry and Meghan in an intimate moment as they announced their pregnancy news on Valentine's Day in 2021. Harriman clarified that the only alteration made to the image was a black-and-white color grade.

In response to a report by the Daily Mail, Harriman shared a video debunking the allegations, stating that his comments were taken out of context. He emphasized that no trees or meadows were manipulated in the photograph, contrary to the claims made by the publication.

Harriman explained that the image was captured during a virtual shoot using technology that allowed him to remotely direct the photo session. He highlighted the joyous nature of the portrait, celebrating new life after the couple's previous experience with a miscarriage.

The photographer expressed disappointment at the misleading article and emphasized that his intention was to capture the truth in his portraiture work. Harriman has documented several significant moments for Meghan and Harry, including Princess Lilibet's first birthday photo and Meghan's podcast deal announcement.

He described his relationship with Meghan as akin to a sister and emphasized the importance of capturing the human condition authentically in his photography. Harriman's work has spanned various subjects, from royalty to civil rights movements, with a focus on portraying truth through his lens.
