This is the moment a 'super flower blood moon' was captured over a popular tourist attraction in Falkirk early this morning.
The spectacular shots were taken by Scotdrone snapper, David Wilkinson, above the Falkirk Wheel between 12:30am and 1:30am.
It wasn't as easy as it looked though, he said: "I turned up and the one slow moving cloud in the sky rolled in and covered the moon.

"I had to wait around for ages until it went past."
Many sky watchers enjoyed the phenomenon.
It was caused by the May full moon coinciding with both the satellite being at its closest point to Earth making it look bigger and brighter.
There was also a lunar eclipse causing the moon to turn red.
But in the UK, we sadly don’t get a total lunar eclipse.
