Photo of man wearing two face masks released after alleged robbery

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole his victim's rucksack before pulling him to the floor.

The 25-year-old victim was in Bracebridge Drive, Bilborough, when a man who was described as wearing a camouflage mask covering the top half of his face, with a surgeon's mask over the top of it, allegedly grabbed his rucksack before robbing him and running off.

The rucksack contained an iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch chargers and work documents. Police said the robbery happened at 12.30pm on October 5 2020.

Police have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Ruth Towle, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Thankfully the victim wasn't injured during this shocking incident which happened on a busy street in broad daylight but he was left very shaken by what happened.

"Even though the man in the image was wearing two masks, and we acknowledge the image is not of the best quality, I am asking for people's help in identifying him from the distinctive clothing he was wearing.

"He is white, around 6ft tall and of skinny build and he was wearing tracksuit bottoms and trainers and disposable gloves.

"If you recognise the man pictured or think you can help please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 275 of 5 October 2020, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
