Photo: Nasty road rash forces Movsar Evloev out of UFC 248

Movsar Evloev was involved in a traffic accident that forced him to pull out of UFC 248.

Evloev was scheduled to face Jamall Emmers, but according to his management, a car struck Evloev while he was on his motorcycle, and the accident left him with numerous wounds all over his body.

Little information was provided on how major the damage he suffered was, but it was certainly enough to force him to pull out of his March 7 fight with Emmers.

“Movsar had to pull out because of road accident. Car crashed into his motorbike.”

An undefeated Russian prospect, Evloev (12-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has won his first two octagon outings, picking up victories over Seung Woo Choi this past April and Enrique Barzola in October.

He’s been replaced by Giga Chikadze, who will step in to face Emmers at UFC 248, which takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
