Ashraf-ul-Shiekh holds on to a newly made artificial leg at an artificial limb making center on May 27, 2014 in Kolkata, India.  Eight-year-old slum kid Ashraf-ul-Shiekh lost his left leg in a tragic road accident two years ago. The incident had left his impoverished parents - who live in a slum in Kolkata, West Bengal - shattered. But now, Ashraf has got a new prosthetic leg from an artificial limb centre free of cost. Ashraf can now walk again, bringing joy to his family. The centre medic who helped Ashraf with a new leg has lost a leg himself. At the milv centre, one can also see people with prosthetic arms helping patients, and even carrying equipment.
