SW chooses the winning pics

Last month, SW Editor Gary was asked to judge a photography competition at Stamford University. The theme was “Bangkok Youth” and the entrants were all Stamford students aged between 18 and 22.

While all the entries were excellent, the judges agreed that a photo by Carol Arao was the winner. Her photo series In the Eyes of a Rescue developed from a 6-month collaboration with photography professor R. Scott Davis, Poh Tek Teung and Ruamkatanyu Emergency Services foundations. This project was Carol’s way of processing and understanding the death of her mother, who passed away while she was at college.

For this week’s Freeze Frame, SW takes a look at some of the best entries in the competition.
