PHOTO: Alistair Overeem’s mangled lip somehow looks like it never happened

Alistair Overeem suffered one of the most horrific-looking injuries earlier this month at UFC on ESPN 7, when Jairzinho Rozenstruik rallied to knock him out with four seconds left in the fifth round and, in the process, shattered his lip into a million pieces.

OK, so maybe it wasn’t a million pieces, but that thing looked gruesome as hell. Like ground beef or something.

Allow me to refresh your memory:

You see something like that, and you think there’s no way he’ll ever be the same.” And yet, thanks to the wonders of modern medicine (plastic surgery in particular), Overeem looked all healed up Thursday while doing interviews at UFC on ESPN+ 23 in Busan, South Korea.
