Following yesterday's blog entry about phones and PDAs there's a good piece in the technology section of The Guardian today about how modern phones are too sophisticated if you just, surely, want to make calls. When I look at my free-with-contract phone with the two megapixel still and video camera, MP3 player, calendar and FM radio, I confess I'd miss it but yes - the time I spend making calls with it is minimal compared to the time I spend on the other functions.
But hey, why not? If amateur photography suddenly becomes an interest because I always have a reasonable camera with me, that's a fun thing, not a bad thing. And if I don't always carry a PDA but still know where in the world I'm supposed to be, likewise that's positive.
Yesterday I mentioned that the Business Sense section would appear in the Guardian today - it will in fact appear tomorrow, in case you've been ransacking your paper looking for it. Apologies for the error
