Phoebe Waller-Bridge wants to bring back Fleabag when the character is fifty

Emmy winning actress and screen writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge is one of the biggest talents in TV.

Fans were gutted when she announced that her comedy Fleabag - in which Phoebe herself plays the lead role - wouldn't be coming back for a third season.

Still, the 34 year-old could be resurrecting the hit show.

Fans shouldn't quite breath a sigh of relief though, as she wants to bring it back when the character makes it to the big five oh.

Chatting with American talk show host Seth Meyers, Phoebe dished: "I quite like the idea of coming back to her, well me, when I am 50.

"Because I feel like she would have had more life then and God knows what she would have got up to.

"Actually seeing a character like that in a later stage of life is exciting. But for now she has been through enough, we have got to let her go."

The show's success isn't limited to the tell screen, as a theatre adaptation has been drawing fans to the West End over the summer.

The one woman show has been running since 2013.

When she finished her stage run last month, she said: "On the last night I realised I had been playing this character on and off for about six years.

"For the last four lines of the play I actually felt her leave me.

"We started at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and to end up in the West End felt like a really lovely full circle.

"And it was the first time I felt the end so palpably."

Phoebe's been snapping up the Emmys too, as she earned a mighty three awards at last week's ceremony.

Winning Outstanding Comedy Writer, Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, she proved again her comedic chops by having the audience in stitches.

After describing herself as a "dirty, pervy, angry, messed-up woman", she told the applauding crowds: "I feel like I've come in the back and nicked something."

Landing a has been another high for Phoebe - the deal's worth £50 million.
