HBO will air a new comedy series titled Run, executive produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and written by Vicky Jones, Variety reports.
The show will follow Ruby, a woman living an ordinary life, whose world gets turned upside down when she receives a text inviting her to fulfil a pact she made in her youth, promising happiness and self-reinvention by taking a journey with her first love.
Merritt Wever is set to star as Ruby, while Domhnall Gleeson will star as Billy Johnson, a successful life guru from a wealthy Irish family. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will also appear in the recurring role of Flick.
Jones is also set to executive produce the project, alongside Waller-Bridge, Emily Leo, and Kate Dennis – the latter having directed the pilot.
She and Waller-Bridge are longtime creative collaborators, with Jones having directed Fleabag when it first debuted on stage. She also directed the play Mydidae and wrote Touch and The One.
A second season of Fleabag has premiered on BBC One, continuing on Mondays at 22.35.
