Phoebe Waller-Bridge gets the giggles in quickfire quiz with Jimmy Fallon

Her show Killing Eve kept fans guessing, but it was Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s turn to find the answers in a quickfire game with Jimmy Fallon.

The Tonight Show host challenged her to play Think Fast and say the first thing that came into her head.

Leaving the pair in fits of giggles, the Fleabag star replied “seven” to “How old are most teenagers?” and “big balloon” to “Where do you go when you need to cry?”

But the biggest laughs came when Fallon asked: “Why is it so hard?” to which she replied, “because it’s wet” — before looking mortified and clasping her hands over her mouth.

The writer and actress also revealed the inspiration behind the hilarious haircut scene in the second series of Fleabag, recalling a time when she ended up with "tiny Lego hair."

"I got a dramatic haircut before I started filming Fleabag one," she told Fallon. "I have this tiny Lego hair, so I called my sister, I was really over dramatic.

"But she picked up the phone and was like, 'OK this is really serious, I'm coming over.'"

Yesterday it was announced that Waller-Bridge will release a Fleabag book titled The Scriptures.

It will "feature new writing by Waller-Bridge alongside the complete filming scripts of seasons one and two, including the never-before-seen stage directions," publishers said.

The book will be published on November 5.

Waller-Bridge will reprise her famous role with a run of the original Fleabag play at Wyndham's Theatre in London this autumn. She has also been working on the script for the next Bond film.
