Philly weekender: Panda Fest, movies and farmers market block party

🐼 Panda Fest returns to Dilworth Park Saturday and Sunday with 60+ vendors and 100+ Asian street food dishes. Plus, live performances, crafts, and family-friendly fun.

  • Expect Instagram-worthy panda attractions, cultural showcases, and new food and entertainment offerings after last year's sold-out debut.

🎭 Miniball Festival has a lineup of 20 performances and events from dozens of artists, along with installations. You know it'll be good because it's put on by FringeArts and Cannonball. Runs through Sunday.


🎞️ The Philadelphia Film Society's Springfest has a weeklong slate of movies, including premieres, plus Q&As with filmmakers and other community events.

🌹 Wake up and smell the flowers. Bartram's Garden is throwing its free springtime fest on Saturday from 10am-2pm. Vendors, live performances, art, face painting and paper-flower crafts for the kids, plus lots and lots of flowers.

🌽 Check out Northern Liberties farmers market, which is kicking off the season in style with a huge block party at the Piazza Alta.

  • Live music, games, and plenty of vendors hawking fresh produce. Saturday, 10am-3pm.

⛲ The fountains at Franklin Square are being turned back on Saturday. The occasion is being marked with a springtime festival, including food and ticketed mini golf. Saturday 11am-1pm.
