Phillipe Coutinho 'put up for sale with Manchester United interested'

Philippe Coutinho has been 'put up for sale' by Barcelona amid interest from Manchester United, according to reports.

Italian media outlet Calciomercato report that the La Liga outfit are willing to sell the former Liverpool playmaker, although United — as well as Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain, who are also linked — haven't yet made an offer.

Juventus are also named as an interested club, with Antoine Griezmann's impending move from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona reportedly putting the wheels in motion for a Coutinho departure.

United have been linked with the Brazilian for the past few months, though is contracted to Barcelona until 2023. His agent has dismissed the notion that Griezmann's move will affect Coutinho's future. MEN Sport also understands that a United swoop for Coutinho is unlikely at this stage, with the Reds targeting young homegrown talent in the transfer market, which opens on Thursday May 16.
