Phillip Schofield threatens to walk off This Morning after huge gaffe

Phillip Schofield was left livid and got up out his seat to walk off the This Morning set after an embarrassing error during Monday's show.

Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby have been back to front the show for two weeks now after an extended break for summer but it would appear that someone in the ITV show's team still thinks they're on holiday.

Everything was running smoothly on the latest instalment of This Morning until a huge gaffe just over an hour into the live broadcast.

As cameras cut back to the studio following an ad break, 'This Morning with Eamonn and Ruth' flashed up on the screen, not just once, but twice, leaving a startled Phillip to shout: "EAMONN AND RUTH, EAMONN AND RUTH?! It says Eamonn and Ruth!"

He then looked at Holly and said "come on then!" before getting out of his chair, only to then laugh off the technical glitch and sit back down.

Ironically, the next item was a celebration of the fact that Monday marked 11 years since Holly hosted This Morning for the first time and she quipped: "Maybe it's my last now...I've just found out!"

Eamonn Holmes and wife Ruth Langsford had a lengthy spell as stand-in This Morning presenters as Phillip and Holly took their break, fronting the show Monday-Thursday with guest hosts including Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes filling in on Fridays.
