Phillip Schofield tells Holly Willoughby she could have 'styled it out' as she's caught off guard with ITV This Morning news

Phillip Schofield fell into laughter when Holly Willoughby proved that despite being a host on This Morning, she doesn't get to know everything. The duo were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Tuesday (March 21) when they were able to share news of a studio return.

During the latest show, viewers saw fashion star turned beauty guru Trinny Woodall giving a makeup masterclass in a pre-recorded segment. The former What Not To Wear star was seen giving viewer Lisa a lesson on what makeup best suited her skin tone, hair and eye colour.

As the clip came to an end, the cameras returned to the studio where Phillip, 60, and Holly, 42, were ready to read their next links. "We've actually got some very exciting news as next month, Trinny is going to be making a return to our This Morning catwalk," Phillip revealed.

Holly responded: "Ah amazing..." before continuing to read what she needed to from the autocue. However, she couldn't hide the fact that she had only just discovered that Trinny will be joining them soon. "Well if you're in need of a fashion transformation...." the mum-of-three continued before she started laughing.

"Sometimes I find this stuff out as I'm hosting the show. I'm like a viewer sometimes guys!" As he laughed and put his head in his hands, Phillip told his co-host: "You could have styled it out," as Holly replied: "I know but couldn't..." before trying to regain composure and continue with the show.

It came after Holly weighed in to a debate on showering earlier in the programme when Phillip was left shocked by one of their guests' admissions. Matthew Wright appeared on the ITV show for the latest 'This Morning's View' segment which saw them discuss a recent study, which revealed that nearly a third of people have changed their showering habits.

It was then when Matthew shared: "I know that since Covid really, once we were stuck at home, the daily shower went out the window and I hold my hand up, it hasn't really come back. I shower for you obviously and then I don't really shower again until I have to see you - or when I next have human contact."

A shocked Phillip then interjected: "That's a week!" before adding more details about the survey. "Thirty percent of people are changing their showering habits, 27 per cent are worried about how their hygiene routine is affecting their bills, and a third of those cutting back are turning their water off when it's not needed."

Holly then chimed in as she said: "Apparently we do shower too much. I get that. Apparently, all the natural oils in your skin, by shampooing your hair and using soap, you're destroying that barrier."
