Phillip Schofield takes swipe at Ofcom as This Morning viewers predict complaints

Phillip Schofield made a thinly veiled dig at Ofcom complainers after Thursday's This Morning raised a few eyebrows.

It's typically This Morning's ITV sister show Good Morning Britain that attracts the biggest number of grievances to the broadcasting regulator, with former host Piers Morgan's recent comments on Meghan Markle alone getting over 41,000.

But Phillip predicted This Morning would prompt some after he and Holly spoke to Dr Chris Steele about a new viagra gel which claims to work "six times faster" than the typical viagra pill.

Turning to the camera, Phillip quipped: "Good morning Ofom, you’re welcome!"

Later on in the show the presenting duo were joined by Ky Hoyle who teaches around 500 women a week to orgasm, with her taking her work online over the past year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Reacting to the her appearance on the show, Phillip remarked: "There will be people who will complain about the fact that we are doing this segment."

Viewers were quick to react too, with one tweeting: "Ofcom is going to be busy with @thismorning today. Can't wait to read what the Karen's and John's have been complaining about"

A second reacted: "this morning's show has been brilliant! Bet Ofcom' s switchboard is flashing, particularly after the Lidl 3 layer egg," and a third predicted: "Ofcom’s gonna be chokkablock after this"
