Phillip Schofield was forced to stop SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton's interview on This Morning on Tuesday while live on air.
The 38-year-old appeared on the ITV daytime show to speak about his new tour Mind Over Muscle, but viewers struggled to hear what he was saying due to mic problems.
Host Phil intervened as one of the backstage crew came over towards the sofa and stood up reports The Mirror.
"Come over, we'll just stick that on," Phil said as Holly explained that there was a bit of a mic issue.
Phil joked: "I'm worried that anyone who came over out of your field of vision would have been taken out right there.
"Had to have a bit of a warning to keep them safe."
