Phillip Schofield shares pride for 'bestie' Holly Willoughby as she goes solo on stage

Phillip Schofield has spoken of his pride for his 'bestie' Holly Willoughby.

The This Morning star was all smiles as he supported his co-host and pal at a special event on Tuesday night.

Holly was in discussion with fellow ITV star Christine Lampard as she had her very own An Evening With Holly Willoughby event for her book 'Reflections'.

Fans and Holly's closest pals headed to the Barbican Theatre for the chat after her first-ever book was released last week.

The 40-year-old TV star says Reflections explores "what it means to live a beautiful life in the modern world" and that it is "thoughts and musings" from her on "inner and outer beauty."

Speaking about writing the book, Holly told Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show earlier this week: "There's been a lot of tears. It's been very hard. It's been painful. I think sometimes shining a light on those dark corners of your own life is hard.

"You have to be brave and you have to dig really deep to do it, but I think it's very important because if you don't do it then it will rise to the surface.

"So you need to face those things with the right support and when it feels like the right time for you - and, for me, this was the right time."

Taking to Instagram, Phillip, 59, shared a video from Holly's event of the crowd listening to Holly as she is interviewed by Christine.

He wrote over the video: "Supporting my bestie @HollyWilloughby #reflections #pride."

It comes after has also spoken out about the "difficult time" she had during a rumoured 'feud' with Phil.

In 2019, the presenting duo were subject rumours of a fall out but while the pair have never publically addressed the rumours, Holly has now referenced the gossip in a chat with pal Ferne Cotton.

"That was a particularly difficult time. Of course. For many reasons," she said.

"But I think, and I remember having this conversation with Phil at the time, it was like: ‘But we know’."

Phil has also previously addressed the situation, telling the Chris Evans' How to Wow Podcast: "There was nothing that was being said that had any truth in it whatsoever. There was no and there has never been a feud with Holly."
