Phillip Schofield screams at This Morning guest as he fears for rescued squirrel

This Morning star and psychologist Emma Kenny introduced a new member of her household to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Tuesday.

She'd rescued a little six-week-old grey squirrel recently, after finding him abandoned.

He was really poorly after his mother abandoned him and never returned, with Emma applying for a licence to look after him.

With grey squirrels considered pests, they're not legally allowed to be released back into the wild.

Instead, they need to be taken to a centre to be looked after, as the alternative is that they are euthanised.

Knowing this, Emma decided to take the adorable animal in to take care of it, and he has definitely fitted in well.

The furry friend joined Emma live on the show on Tuesday as she explained all to Holly and Phil.

But Phillip was getting a little distracted from the chat, after noticing the attention Emma was paying to her new friend.

Emma kept rubbing the head of the animal to soothe it, as he got a little irritated about being held.

But Phillip was alarmed by how much and how heavy Emma was petting the little one's head in hilarious scenes.

He suddenly shouted "You're gonna rub it's head off," before bursting into laughter.

As she continued, Phillip suddenly started shouting: "What the hell, stop it! Well stop it!"

But Emma couldn't hear him because of the delay in audio with the live video link, so she continued.

Realising what Phillip was saying she did stop, but said he liked his cuddles.

Holly, meanwhile, was in hysterics over the entire encounter before wishing the little one well.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
