When This Morning usually starts, fans are used to seeing a smiling Holly Willougby and Phillip Schofield welcoming them to the show.
And while that was still the case today, Phil was quick to point out he was 'kicking off' just second before the ITV show went live.
After the daytime programme's titles rolled, the cameras turned to Holly and Schofe how were both giggling.
Holly, 39, managed to let out a "morning" through the laughter before Phil had to explain himself.
"Hiya and welcome to your Thursday's This Morning," the 57-year-old started before moaning: "It's kicking off, I'm kicking off. Everything's going wrong."
And Holly was quick to call out her co-star over his behaviour: "You say 'kicking off' – if you'd have heard us five seconds before air, Phil was actually screaming!"
"What's the matter?" Holly sympathetically, yet slightly jokingly, asked her pal.
Phil then explained: "If you have followed this show for a long time you will know years ago I had my eyes lasered and they have been incredible.
"I've got one distance eye and one reading eye but since Christmas the reading eye is slipping and I want to have them lasered again."
Addressing viewers, he continued: "I was just telling Holly that I want the laser surgery again but the place isn't open."
Holly advised her pal: "Just put your specs on. I like glasses."
But Phil moaned again: "I can't do it. I don't want to."
To which Holly replied: "We'll all agree if you can't read something today it's fine. We'll ignore it and let it go."
Nothing like a bit of drama to kick start your Thursday.
