Phillip Schofield scolds Dancing On Ice's Jason Donovan for 'making him look a fool'

Dancing On Ice viewers were left amused on Sunday night as host Phillip Schofield scolded contestant Jason Donovan on the ITV series in a funny mix-up.

Phillip decided to celebrate musicals week on the show by donning his coat from his days in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

As co-host Holly Willoughby asked him about it, fans were loving the look - only for Phil to confirm he wasn't alone.

He claimed fellow Joseph star Jason was also donning his own coat, so that they could mark the moment together.

But it didn't take long for viewers to notice Jason wasn't wearing his coat at all, as he headed out onto the rink.

During the group performance, all of the contestants stepped out in their musicals outfits.

Jason's look was completely different to his famous coat and appearance as Joseph, and Phil had something to say about it.

He jokingly called him out on air, asking what he was playing at and accused him of making him look like a fool.

Jason was instead dressed as Priscilla, from The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Phil screamed: "Jason... what is this, what are you doing?"

He responded: "Phil, forget the coat mate I thought you were gonna turn up in a loincloth."

Phillip joked he "had one on underneath", before telling Jason: "I feel a right fool now!"

He soon ditched the coat, as an amused Holly comforted him at a distance - and he soon returned in a smart suit.

Holly later told him to "let it go" as he joked that he was "still fuming" about the coat.

Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 7pm on ITV.
