Phillip Schofield says young celebs have the best chance of winning Dancing On Ice because they do not fear injury.
The ITV host said of the dance show, due to restart next month: “It’s incredibly dangerous. Ice skates are fairly sharp. And so we’ve had some nasty cuts.
“We’ve had big falls. They’re great fun, so long as nobody hurts themselves.
“What we love is the fearless nature. Now, you can really only have that if you’re at the younger end of the age spectrum, when you know if you fall over, it’s not going to break.”
Presenter Phillip added: “We’ve found that the younger you are, especially if you’re a dancer, then you have that bravery, the courage and, you know, you go for it.”

Contestants this time will include 57-year-old Bez from the Happy Mondays.
If Phillip is right, he will struggle against Liberty Poole, from Love Island, and BMX Olympian Kye Whyte, both 22.
Fit Strictly dancer Brendan Cole, 45, and rugby player Ben Foden, 36, are also competing and will be trying to impress new judge Oti Mabuse.
At an ITV launch event, fellow judge Christopher Dean said the 14th series could be among the best.
He said after a “sneak peek” at some celebs: “The standard of the majority is much higher than in previous shows. It’s going to get difficult as the show goes on to pick a winner.”
