Phillip Schofield returns to social media to promote his career venture away from TV

Phillip Schofield placed the This Morning drama on the back burner earlier today, as he returned to social media after days of silence to promote wine to his followers.

The TV presenter, 61, is believed to have fallen out with Holly Willoughby, 42, after their friendship 'cooled' in recent months.

Sources claimed Holly distanced herself from Phillip and was left dumbfounded when she learnt through the press that his brother was on trial.

It reached the point that Phillip, supposedly unbeknownst to Holly and ITV, released a statement about their relationship.

After making an awkward return to This Morning this week, Phil took to Instagram to promote When In Rome wine - a brand he collaborates with.

Sharing a picture of him chatting with When In Rome staff at the London Wine Fair, Phillip wrote: "Talking all things sustainable wine with @wheninromewine."

He also shared a zoomed-in photo of himself smiling for the cameras as he filmed footage for television. Both Instagram Stories were were marked as 'paid partnerships with wheninrome', meaning Phil receives a fee for sharing the posts.

The TV presenter partnered up with the brand a couple of years ago and even has his very own range, which has his name written all over it.

The Italian craft wine brand, which is exclusive to Waitrose stores, got Phil on board for the venture after he made some requests.

According to The Sun, he revealed: "When I agreed to this partnership, I had certain conditions; I wanted to be part of the tasting team.

"I wanted figures on how eco-friendly box wine was and I wanted it to be good value. The result is something I felt I could really invest in," Phil admitted.

Meanwhile, Phil and Holly have been highly scrutinised after they were accused of skipping the queue at the late Queen's lying-in-state.

After constantly hitting headlines in the last year, Phil explained things had "not been easy" for him and Holly.

The Mirror also revealed that ITV bosses would be prepared to sack h im from his role on the shows he and Holly co-present should viewers notice their "chemistry" had changed.
