Phillip Schofield returns to social media for heartfelt Snapchat message

Philllip Schofield has returned to social message with a heartfelt message for fans.

It's been nearly two weeks since Phillip revealed he was gay, firstly with a candid post on his Instagram and then in a touching interview with close friend Holly Willoughby live on This Morning.

And now, having last posted on social media on the day of his very public coming out - Friday, February 7 - Phillip returned to Snapchat on Wednesday with a short but poignant message for well-wishers.

On his story he posted: "I may not have been posting, but I've been reading your incredible messages of support. You have taken #bekind to the best level on here," adding a giant red heart underneath his post.

On Sunday, Phillip and Holly paid tribute to Caroline Flack, following her death on Saturday at the age of 40.

Speaking at the start of the show, Phillip said: "We'd like to begin tonight's show by taking a moment to remember Caroline Flack.

"In light of yesterday's awful news, we wanted to say that our hearts go out to her family and friends."

Holly added: "Many of us here on the show knew Caroline as a friend, and we'll all miss her enormously.

"As Caroline herself recently posted, in a world where you can be anything, be kind."
