Phillip Schofield shared on Monday's This Morning that he had a special weekend.
The ITV favourite began the magazine show telling co-host Holly Willoughby that he was finally reunited with his mum after the pair have been unable to see one another in person for a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Silver fox Phil, 59, explained that he meet up with his dear mother, Pat, to celebrate her 85th birthday and that when he embraced her in a warm hug that he was overwhelmed with emotion.
He turned to Holly, 40, and said: "I saw my mum!"
"That alone made my heart sink", Holly gushed!
Phil continued: "For the first time in a year, it was so lovely, I went to meet her at the station and she came staggering through with her bags and the lady let me go through the barrier and gave her a massive hug and as we went back through the last sad ‘you’ve just made me really emotional!’".

Holly's voice quivered as she added: "I am not surprised."
Phil went on: "It was really sweet, it was her 85th birthday this weekend so we had a party for her."
He then explained she was tuning in and exclaimed: "Happy birthday, mum!"
Phil's mum journeyed from Cornwall to meet up with her son and Phillip announced the happy get together on Instagram.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Pip shared his excitement at the fact he was soon to be reunited with his mother, Pat, for the first time in months.

Sharing a selfie of himself online, Phil wrote: "Off to pick up my mum from the station!! First time I've seen her in a year."
He later shared the moment he laid eyes on his mother as she walked through the train station clutching a number of bags.
He captioned the moment: "Her majesty has arrived," alongside two joyful faced emojis.
Phillip revealed earlier this year that his mother had been among the first to be fully vaccinated in the UK as she was welcomed by her local NHS brand to receive the inoculation – designed to protect everyone from the Covid-19 virus.
Explaining on air on ITV earlier this year, Phil said: “Mum was very lucky actually, she's not a billionaire, she's just down in Cornwall.
“She just happened to be on the list and they called her back, I think maybe towards the end of the period they might have some left over or whatever, and she got her second vaccine.”
