Phillip Schofield panics over huge flames during This Morning cooking segment

Phillip Schofield was left panicking during the cooking segment during Monday's episode of This Morning.

The TV presenter, 58, and his co-host Holly Willoughby, 39, were watching John Torode cooking in his garden when huge flames appeared on the barbecue

John was making a chicken biryani and admitted that the meat could "catch quite badly" if he didn't watch out while the flames grew around him.

Clearly worried, Phil begged him to put water on the blaze as he pulled faces.

With one pot on the barbecue, John, 54, marinated his chicken on the grill as the flames blew in the wind.

He said: "When you're trying to do this on a barbecue it can actually catch quite badly."

John used tongs to flip the chicken around to try and calm the flames.

The camera then panned back to the studio, where Phil was pulling a very concerned face.

Noticing Phil's expression, John told him: "It is catching a little bit but it's alright! Fire is flavour."

Mimicking John's Australian accent, Phil said: "You need to spray a bit of water on that, mate.

But John insisted it was fine and managed not to start a huge fire in his garden.

It follows the uproar when John accidentally started a kitchen fire during one of his recent cooking segments.

He was trying to teach hosts Holly and Phil how to make a McDonald's egg McMuffin when his tea towel caught fire.

John had no idea and Holly and Phil had to scream at him to put it out.
