Phillip Schofield panics as Holly Willoughby almost throws up on air during food segment

Holly Willoughby was left so unsettled over a segment on This Morning on Thursday, that she feared she was about to throw up.

Judging by her watery eyes and the look on her face, she was almost sick on air as she and co-host Phillip Schofield hosted a segment on homemade dog food.

They were presented with different fresh and raw recipes, specially made by Poppy's Picnic, that are suitable for your pooch - while obviously their versions were cooked.

Brand creator Dylan Watkins, who appeared alongside his furry friend Poppy, detailed some human food alternatives for your pet that can apparently make dogs live longer, from chicken goujons, to meatballs and even a smoothie.

But the fact that it was all presented to them in dog bowls was too much for Holly, from the moment she sat down.

Taking some breathes before turning away from the food, Holly was on the verge of vomiting it seems - noticed by Phil.

He quickly saw the signs and checked in with Holly, before getting up to find her mask for her in fear she was about to puke live on air.

Holly began gulping as she spoke, saying: "Best of luck for me for this next item."

Her co-presenter suddenly looked worried and placed his hand over his mouth, as Holly continued reading from the autocue.

This Morning host Phillip Schofield jumped out of his chair to find something that might help Holly Willoughby (ITV)

Phillip asked: "Have you got that watery feeling in your mouth before you puke?"

As Holly said: "Yep, yep, yep," Phil told her to "hold on" as he got out of his chair and asked where her mask was.

Holly told him to just get on with it saying she was fine, but Phil was worried things would take a wrong turn.

She soon placed a napkin in her lap in case she needed to cover her face, as Phil urged her to cover her eyes so she couldn't see what she was eating.

Asking the crew for a mask, he shouted: "I'm not sitting here as you're sick all over the table. What sort of day out is that?"

Holly cried out: "I don't know why it had to be in a dog bowl, it makes me feel funny."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
