Phillip Schofield once again 'blocked' by Boy George's hat at Kelly Hoppen's celebration

By Jamie Roberts

Phillip Schofield shared his dismay at Boy George's selection of big hats as he once again found himself behind the music legend.

The duo were attending Kelly Hoppen's investiture party on Tuesday night and the presenter, 59, couldn't resist a sly dig picture with the former Culture Club singer, 60.

He sarcastically posed behind the extravagant star with a look of horror on his face and captioned the post "Not again".

In the image, a glammed up Boy George can by seen with his tongue out and eyebrows raised as he proudly stands blocking Schofe's view with his large bowler hat.

The pic comes after the This Morning presenter's unfortunate seating arrangement for ITV's An Audience with Adele.

The show at London Palladium was packed to the rafters with huge stars, including Samuel L Jackson, Emma Thompson, Dawn French, Jodie Comer, and Alan Carr.

But Phil, who was in attendance with his estranged wife Stephanie Lowe, couldn't have had a much worse view.

While he was seated in front of Home Alone and Schitt’s Creek star Catherine O’Hara, he was unfortunately placed behind the former Culture Club frontman.

Boy George was wearing a huge rounded blue hat for Adele’s spectacular evening, which celebrated her new album 30, teamed with a pink spotted shirt.

And viewers were quick to spot Phillip trying to peer around the star for much of the performance.

One fan tweeted a picture of the presenter craning his neck to try to watch the performance and wrote: "When you can’t see from behind Boy George’s hat @Schofe."

The presenter appeared to see the funny side as he quickly retweeted the image alongside a string of crying laughing emojis.

Some viewers think Phillip was moved during one point in the show, as later, he's spotted sitting near Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway, and Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander.

It seems as though Phil and Boy George were able to laugh about the situation together on Tuesday.

Schofe had posted a selfie of himself earlier in the night on his Instagram page as he wrote "school night" and put a scared looking emoji before attending the ITV Palooza.

He is known for partying hard before his early morning shift on This Morning. He later shared a snap of himself alongside author Robert Peston, followed by a shot of him and Kelly Hoppen on the day she received her CBE.
