Phillip Schofield notices worrying issue with vegan paint in royal baby nursery

Phillip Schofield noticed a worrying issue with the vegan paint used in the royal baby's nursery.

Meghan Markle has reportedly used different shades of grey in Baby Sussex's room as part of a £3million renovation of their new home.

The vegan paint has not been tested on animals, is pesticide free and is good for the environment.

During a special look into the royal nursery on today's This Morning, host Phillip painted a wall before giving it a sniff.

Presenter Alice Beer claimed that it was solvent free, but Phillip's nose found a problem.

He said: "I'm sorry, it doesn’t smell of classic paint, but I can smell solvent.

"It doesn’t smell bad but it smells of paint."

Chaos nearly erupted in the studio as Phillip went to sniff the paint on the wall.

Phil leaned in to get a whiff of the paint and put his nose right up against the wall.

"Oh god I just want to go...," said Holly as she gestured she was going to push his head into the wet paint.

Giggling Phillip said: "I don’t believe that either of you didn’t do that then. If it had been me.

"I lent forward and thought I’m going to go in this. Well you missed a trick."

Holly added: "I’m not even going to go near that now."

The presenters also looked at the £1,300 buggy that was seen being driven into Frogmore Cottage.

They also looked at a British teddy bear, costing £145, which will be embroidered with Baby Sussex's name on its feet.

The nursery itself is believed to have cost £150,000 to spruce up - with the help of a German interiors company.

In February, Meghan was gifted a £290 convertible cot during her New York baby shower.

While tennis ace Serena Williams, mum to 18-month-old Alexis, reportedly offered pal Meghan advice on her nursery plans.
