Phillip Schofield mocks Holly Willoughby over This Morning presenting blunder

This Morning's Holly Willoughby made a blunder on the ITV show on Tuesday, that left her co-host Phillip Schofield in hysterics.

He was quick to call out her mistake, suggesting it was basic rules amongst the presenting handbook.

Holly quickly realised her mishap and was quick to confess to it, before claiming she hadn't done it in years.

It happened when they were joined by some of the This Morning team to share their favourite TV shows and boxsets.

Encouraging those stuck indoors and self-isolating to watch some new shows, Holly went first.

She revealed something she was obsessed with was The Jinx, a true crime documentary.

Holly decided to give a little information and context to fans, before explaining why she loved it.

But suddenly Holly appeared to be talking to someone directly who wasn't there, soon admitting she was talking to the producer in her ear.

She told viewers, laughing: "I might just set it up a little bit first... I'm talking to you like you can actually hear the director.

"Apologies... we're just having a little chat now."

As she giggled, Phillip suddenly roared with laughter, before calling out her hosting blunder.

Holly said: "I haven't done that for years."

An amused Phillip went on: "That's page one in the handbook!"

Unable to contain her own laughter, Holly apologised again shouting: "Sorry guys, sorry guys," before carrying on with her comments about the documentary.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
