Phillip Schofield made a cutting dig at Piers Morgan's abrupt departure from Good Morning Britain as he and Holly Willoughby finally addressed the news today.
This comes after both presenters avoided the subject yesterday following his exit on Tuesday evening.
Earlier this week. Phil mocked Piers storming off the ITV show after the controversial host was branded "diabolical" by co-star Alex Beresford.
ITV confirmed that Piers had quit GMB following discussions with ITV over his comments about Meghan Markle's Oprah Winfrey interview.
Speaking to Andrew Neil on This Morning, Phil questioned: "Just lastly, Andrew, in the studio next to ours there is a vacant seat, currently. So, um. Piers Morgan flounced out and so will you be offering him a job?"

Andrew responded evasively, suggesting that Piers would be a "great asset" to GB News, the new TV station that he will be setting up.
"I thought you were gonna ask me if I was going to fill the vacant seat," Andrew joked. "We're open to all sorts of offers.
"I think Piers would be a huge asset to [GB News] but I wouldn't want to transfer what he was doing for Good Morning Britain straight to GB News. I would want to do something different."

"He is who he is, isn't he?" Phil questioned.
"He is what he is but I think he's also adaptable," Andrew pointed out and he can do different things in different ways and I think he would be a huge asset to our channel if we can get him and we will try to do so.
"We'll try to come to a mutual agreement but he won't be short of offers, so no doubt there will be a bit of competition."
"He won't come cheap either, I would have thought," Phil remarked. "Quite expensive."

After the announcement of his exit, Piers announced that he had "trusted his gut" and this morning defiantly said that he still did not believe the Duchess of Sussex had suffered from suicidal thoughts and that "freedom of speech is a hill [he] is happy to die on".
He had previously laughed off an online petition, which had been signed by 92,000 people, to get him sacked from his position.

Mental health charity Mind, who work on ITV's Get Talking campaign, also came out against the combative host and said that they were "disappointed" by his remarks.
It has since emerged that Meghan is also believed to have lodged a formal complaint against Piers.
Piers was called into a meeting after the Duchess of Sussex lodged a formal complaint with ITV, the Guardian and Telegraph have reported.
This comes after the Mirror exclusively revealed that Piers decided to leave after he was told by ITV to apologise on TV for his comments.
ITV released a statement last night regarding his departure, stating: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."
