Phillip Schofield joked that Gino D'Acampo was suffering a "mid-life crisis" after pointing out his interesting new look.
The chef returned to This Morning today in a bid to promote his new children's book, but Phil and Holly Willoughby were quickly distracted by his bandana, purple-tinted shades and beaded necklaces.
Holly quipped that a "strange figure" had walked into the studio and that many viewers might not know who he is but confirmed it was Gino.
"What's all this?!" Holly exclaimed.
Phil questioned: "What's the bandana about?! The glasses..."
"I'm growing my hair," Gino replied as he held a coffee mug. "So instead of putting on a lot of wax and stuff like that, I've decided that from now on I'm going to wear a bandana."
"I mean you've got the beads and everything," Holly pointed out. "You've been travelling, haven't you? You look like someone who's been travelling on a gap year and has come back."
Phil struggled not to laugh as Gino agreed that she was "absolutely right" because he had been travelling in America and filming.
"I thought from now on, I want to start to breed horses," Gino said. "I'm going to be like a proper cowboy."
Phil quipped: "What we're witnessing here is a full-on, public, mid-life crisis."
"Yep," Gino agreed. "You are 100% right. My wife reminded me this morning of that, so thank you."
