Phillip Schofield apologises mid-interview as guest swears live on This Morning

Richard Dreyfuss couldn’t help drop a swear word during his live interview on This Morning on Monday.

He left hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in hysterics with the blip, as he said: “I’m p****d” while telling an anecdote.

The Jaws legend was discussing his career ahead of his one-off show, An Evening with Richard Dreyfuss which is being held in London this month.

But an amused Phil was forced to apologise to viewers mid-interview, who may have heard one comment that the actor said.

He was discussing his earlier career, and went into detail about the moment he first learned he was a short man.

Richard claimed until he was around 19 years old, he believed himself to be quite tall.

But he was soon forced to embrace his real height after being told he was “short”.

While fans were a little confused as to where the interview was going, they were left suddenly surprised when the actor confessed learning he was short made him “p****d”.

Phillip laughed off the moment, as Richard suddenly gasped and quickly moved the conversation on.

The host then looked at the camera and said: “Sorry about that.”

Taking to Twitter , fans laughed off the moment as others mocked Holly and Phil trying to move the interview on.

One fan said: “@RichardDreyfuss swearing on #ThisMorning was a highlight to my morning. Phillip’s apology was sweet, bless him!”

Another tweeted: “He said p****d ??? I'm offended and want compensation for my ears please.”

This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
