Phillip Schofield exercises while drinking G&T in ultimate workout

Phillip Schofield gave fans a teaser of his very unique exercise routine - that also involved sipping on a stiff drink.

The 58-year-old This Morning presenter took to social media to share a recording of his lockdown exercise.

In the entertaining clip, Schofe got his blood pumping with a jog before revealing to fans that he was also carrying a gin and tonic in his hand.

Despite the jumpy video, it seemed like Phil had mastered the skill of combining his exercise with the summery spirit.

In the brief video, Phillip paced through the luscious green space in a stripey T-shirt.

Working up a sweat, he was relieved to take a sip of his ice cold alcoholic beverage mid-run.

"The trouble is, it's extremely hard to run and not spill your gin and tonic," he said in the clip.

Schofe added: "All fine, all fine! Love a bit of lockdown exercise. Cheers!"

Shortly after disclosing his unique exercise routine, Phillip also revealed that he was 'craving' the pub.

During an episode of This Morning, the television host was discussing the idea of pubs opening in July.

He added: "Aren't we just craving [them]?"

Phil begged for pubs to re-open across the country and argued that people were now much better at social distancing.

"We now know how to socially distance it, we are getting better and better at it.

"You actually see people moving too closely and you go, 'Oh my god, look at them! They're way too close!"

Schofe also provided his own solutions to the issue, noting that beer gardens could technically open.

He added: "We're getting better at that now. So if there is a pub garden, a business that can open... mentally, we're all going crackers.

"Nick wouldn't you - I would open pubs. Let's get us out there! As long as we're not mixing too closely let's go and have a pint!"

While many long for a cold drink in a typical British establishment, no dates for re-opening have yet been confirmed.

It looks like Phil might have to stick to jogging with his G&Ts for now.
