Phillip Schofield defended by fans as This Morning viewers blast 'fix' over Spin to Win

This Morning fans have blasted the show over a 'fix' row during its Spin to Win game.

For those who don't know, Spin to Win sees viewers given the opportunity to win up to £3,000 either by Phillip Schofield spinning a wheel or Holly Willoughby dipping into her tombola.

All they have to do is NOT say hello when they pick up the phone and instead give the passphrase.

But avid fans of the show will know it's been a disastrous week so far with the hosts getting frustrated by the "stupid" game.

That's because in the last two days of This Morning being aired, and three attempts at the game, not one viewer successfully claimed any cash.

And frustrations reached new heights on Tuesday, with Phillip screaming into the camera and Holly ready to give up playing the game.

Clearly a glutton for punishment, Wednesday's show began with Holly and Phil revealing they'll attempt to play the game twice during the show.

After explaining the rules, they attempted to phone viewers once again and on the second call, competitor Catherine successfully gave them what they were looking for - much to the relief of Holly, Phil and quite frankly, the nation.

But after being relieved someone finally got to play, that soon turned to anger from viewers who claim Phil stopped the wheel as it hit the top prize.

"What a bloody fix. They so stopped the wheel then #SpintoWin #ThisMorning," one fumed.

Another tweeted: "That was such a fix. He stopped the wheel! #ThisMorning."

"Oh leave off Phil stopped that #ThisMorning," a third added.

Others, however, didn't seem to mind.

"Nice work Phil. I’d have done that for that lovely lady too! # ThisMorning ," tweeted one.

Another said: "That was definitely a fix but I'm not even mad about it #thismorning."

"It was a fix he stopped the wheel WHO CARES you’re only p****d off cause it wasn’t you!! Would you complain if he stopped the wheel if you were on the phone??? #ThisMorning," a third argued.

A fourth added: "Yeah Phil, who cares if you held that wheel back she deserved that she was all happy and it's not been won in days! #thismorning."
