Phillip Schofield debuts new presenting partner for travel show without Holly Willoughby

TV favourites Phillip Schofield has shown off his new co-host Lucy Verasamy as he starts work on a new series without longtime presenting partner Holly Willoughby .

The pair are now working on separate projects, with Holly tackling new show Take Off on BBC One with The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh.

Phillip, 57, took to social media to give his fans a sneak preview of his mysterious new travel programme on ITV with the channel's regular weather presenter Lucy, 39, which is due out in the spring.

Taking to Instagram , Phillip captioned the photos: "With @lucyweather both wishing this was a view and not a plasma #HowToSpendItWellHoliday."

The pair posed in the pictures together, with Lucy going on to share the photos too.

Lucy wrote: "Fun Friday filming in the weather studio with @schofe: all will be revealed in the spring."

They will be joined in the new series by Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford.

Meanwhile, it is all success for Holly, 39, and Bradley, 59, as they found more fans with pilot Take Off over Christmas, which saw audience members given the opportunity to win a holiday to Lapland.

Now the show will return to BBC One for a full series later this year and give more hopefuls the chance to jet off on holiday.

However the full series goes down, it would appear to be a major coup for the Beeb.

A source told The Sun : "It’s a great get for the BBC to poach two of ITV’s most popular stars."

They explained: "Holly is the golden girl of ITV, and The Chase is massive for the channel.

"How they’re both going to find time to do both is beyond me, but the Beeb are delighted. The contracts are all but signed."

What does it mean for Holly and Phillip's partnership? (ITV)

Take Off is being produced by Hungry Bear, meaning Holly will be working with husband and producer Dan Baldwin.

What this means for Holly and Phillip's relationship remains to be seen as he has brushed off claims of major tension between the pair following Holly's solo success on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

Both can currently be seen presenting on Dancing On Ice together while Bradley continues to star as Graham O'Brien in the new series of Doctor Who.
