Phillip Schofield calls Jamie Oliver 'filthy pervert' for controversial pasty recipe

Phillip Schofield called Jamie Oliver a "filthy pervert" on today's This Morning during a hilarious cooking segment.

The TV chef was in the studio for a veggie makeover as he ditched the meat and spoiled Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby with some vegetable treats.

There was a lot of excitement when Jamie got out his classic pasties, filled with potatoes, onions and mushrooms.

But he caused controversy by telling Phil to open up a pocket at the top and shove some salad inside.

As Phil took a bite, Jamie said: "If you open up a little pocket and shove some of that salad in there I'm telling you...and a bit of mustard."

Horrified Phil, who grew up in Cornwall, cried: "Salad in a pasty - you filthy pervert!"

Jamie told Holly to cut a pasty in half and "look into the heart and soul" while smearing it with mustard.

"I'm not doing it," insisted Phil, while Holly admitted the mustard was a bit too hot for her liking.

As the camera zoomed into Phillip as he scoffed on his salad-free pasty he yelled: "What?"

This Morning viewers took to Twitter after being left in hysterics by Phil's reaction.

One viewer said: "@Schofe you are my spiritual voice"

"We should award @schofe the keys to the city of Truro," added another.

A third said: "Who has salad in a pasty ???? No way."

"Watching @Schofe eating a pastie made my day," said a fourth.

Jamie, who has released a vegetarian cookbook, also brought out a monster "allotment cottage pie".

"I just believe that food shouldn't be divisive. Good food is for everyone," exclaimed Jamie.

This Morning host Phillip pointed at that Jamie had been "quite controversial" with his food choices in the past.

Jamie said: "I have been controversial but that is when it comes to the health of our kids. The future of our nation. And you know I'm very passionate about our kids."
