Phillip Schofield booed as snubbing fan's autograph request comes back to haunt him

A moment from Phillip Schofield's past came back to haunt him on Monday when a This Morning caller took him to task for snubbing his daughter's request for an autograph years ago.

The ITV presenter was having a relatively uneventful day on set but that all changed when he and co-presenter Holly Willoughby presided over another game of Spin to Win.

After answering the phone with correct phrase, caller Mike from Bristol started chatting to Phillip and Holly and it was then that he revealed his daughter Honey had asked him to remind Phillip of them time he turned down her request from an autograph.

Mike asked Phillip if he could remember doing a balloon ride in the city years ago and as Phillip confirmed he knew what he was talking about, Mike said: "We followed you, my daughter ran to the balloon.

"She tells me this story many many times, she asked you for your autograph and you said you were too busy."

Mike's bombshell revelation was met with a chorus of boos from the This Morning crew and a flustered Phil replied: "I was probably hanging out of a balloon at the time!"

Making up for his past mistake, Phillip hastily wrote an autograph for Honey along with the words "Not too busy this time!" and the note was put into Mike's prize bundle.
