Phillip Schofield slammed Adele Roberts for "overreacting" on I'm A Celebrity after she accused Roman Kemp of "prejudice".
Viewers were left baffled after Adele's luxury item was revealed as a photo of Jane McDonald.
But fans were even more confused as she lashed out at Roman for joking that he had "no idea" who Adele was.
He and Holly Willoughby spoke about the awkward moment on This Morning today with Ferne McCann and Vicky Pattison.
"I just thought she overreacted," he said. "I mean, it's an unusual choice, it's funny, it's nice, it's great that she's a fan.
"But for her to take it quite so seriously... but then you've always got to put it down to the fact that she might have been tired, she could have been hungry."
Ferne added: "I just think it was really random. Obviously we know how important that luxury item is, so it just felt very random.
"I think if they had won all of the luxury items it wouldn't have been such a big deal. But whereas just the concealer and the picture of Jane..."
The former Big Brother star, 40, was left fuming after DJ Roman admitted that he had "no idea" who her idol Jane McDonald was.
Out of all of the things she could have chosen, Adele decided that a photo of former Loose Women star would be perfect as her luxury item in the jungle.
But things turned sour when Roman joked about not knowing who Jane was, leading Adele to accuse him of "prejudice".
And fans flocked to Twitter to mock her accusations, with some even suggesting that she had faked her outrage for attention.
One tweeted: "DID ROMAN SERIOUSLY JUST HAVE TO APOLOGISE FOR LAUGHING AT THE FACT ADELE'S LUXURY ITEM IS A PHOTO OF JANE MCDONALD LMAOOO #ImACeleb."
While another commented: "Why is Adele getting Aggy at Roman , it IS f***ing weird to bring a picture of a random celebrity as your LUXURY item ......... The f*** #ImACeleb.
