Phillip Schofield was asked out for dinner during a live radio interview.
Phillip chatted to the Rev Richard Coles and his co-host co-host Shaun Keaveny about coming out as gay publicly and privately earlier this year - and the vicar asked him on a date.
The Rev Coles, who was a member of the 80s band The Communards with Jimmy Somerville, asked if Phillip was looking for 'a bit of company' after his guest opened up about the life-changing experience of revealing his sexuality on his ITV chat show This Morning in February.
"I'm living every day as it comes. We all are," said father-of-two Phillip about family life after coming out.

"We're immensely loving and that's what we're taking forward as a family."
"If you're looking for a bit of company Phillip?" suggested the Rev Coles, who is also 58.
"Broadcaster, gay, in his middle years. Drink, dinner?" he flirted.
And Phil responded: "Are you asking me out?"

The Rev Coles' co-host Shaun joked: "I feel like a bit of a gooseberry now."
Phillip appeared on Radio 4’s Saturday Morning Live at the weekend and on Sunday the Rev Coles gave an update on Twitter.
"So did you get a date with Philip?" he was asked by a follower.
And he replied: "Not so much."
Richard has been single since the death of his husband the Rev David Coles in 2019.
Phillip, who has penned a memoir Life's What You Make It, had been married to wife Steph for 27 years when he revealed his sexuality in an interview with his friend and co-host Holly Willoughby live on This Morning.
Phillip and Steph have two daughters, Molly, 27, and Ruby, 24.
