Phillip Schofield apologises to Chris Moyles after I'm A Celebrity fans say trial is 'worst they've seen'

Phillip Schofield has hilariously apologised to Chris Moyles while he's in the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here jungle after watching him take part in his second trial. The radio DJ was voted by the public to take on Boiling Point.

The trial saw Chris 48, tasked with releasing stars from various locations using a tiny spanner. The twist was that, of course, he wasn't alone with various critters and other unwanted guests, and there wasn't just one spanner as he had to find the right one for each screw.

After struggling through the challenge, a noticeably distressed Chris managed to secure just one out of a possible 11 stars. He admitted to struggling with the tight spaces he found himself in and blamed his panicking for not being able to get enough breath to stay underwater and collect at least two of the stars on offer.

And things went from bad to worse for Chris after he briefly lost his spanners and let the only stars he had collected fall out of his bag. "This is going to be the worst trial you’ve ever had… I’ve lost my spanners!" he confessed to Ant and Dec. He added: "Everything’s now fallen out." And the revelation horridied Dec, who exclaimed: "What the stars?" and was later mocked for his over-exaggerated facial expression.

And some I'm A Celeb viewers branded it the 'worst trial I've seen'. @AmyLaurens_ tweeted: "Lost the stars!? I think this may be the worst trial I've seen. Poor Chris!! #ImACeleb." @thirlwclls said: "No offence but I genuinely think that was the worst attempt at a trial I’ve seen #imaceleb."

@RyanGSoapKing11 posted: "In regards to tonight's trial although it was the worst ever Performance in a trial I have to give credit to Chris. That was a difficult trial especially with the spanners underwater as well. He did genuinely look so deflated afterwards. Good effort Chris #ImACeleb." @Hamperings added: "The fact Matt Hancock is better at the trials than Chris Moyles is quite hilarious. #ImACeleb."

Meanwhile, This Morning host Phillip was also watching at home and responded to Chris' name check. As the former Radio 1 star arrived at the trial clearing after leaving camp being told 'don't come back without the stars' by his campmates, he appeared from behind a bush to be greeted by Ant and Dec.

As he clapped eys on the hosting duo, he said: "Ah sorry, I thought it was Phil and Holly. I'm in the wrong place," before pretending to walk away agin much to Ant and Dec's amusement.

And it clearly made Phillip laugh to as the 60-year-old shared a clip of the comment with his millions of Instagram followers and wrote: "Sorry @chrismoylesofficial... We'd have been there with a fry-up".
