Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby tease Dancing on Ice fans with backstage pic

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have given Dancing on Ice fans a sneak peak look at the 2022 series ahead of tonight's launch show.

Phillip, 59, took to his Instagram Story on Sunday afternoon to post a selfie of him and his good pal Holly, 40, on the ice rink.

The dad-of-two is grinning for the camera whilst wearing a black puffer coat as Holly stands behind him.

The snap was obviously taken before the mother-of-three gets glammed up as she was wearing a patterned jumper and a checked winter coat.

Phillip simply captioned the post: "Back at the rink," followed by a smiley face emoji.

Holly also posted her own solo selfie as she enjoyed a cuppa backstage using an official ITV mug.

"Waiting backstage for @dancingonice rehearsals to begin… just in case your wondering what channel we’re on tonight… @itv (sic)," she captioned the photo.

Dancing on Ice 2022 will feature a whole host of famous faces including Love Island star Liberty Poole and Coronation Street actress Sally Dynevor.

They will be joined by the likes of former Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole and pop star Rachel Stevens.

However, it is Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt who has been named as a frontrunner for this year's series.

The 39-year-old singer is 9/2 from 6/1 to take the skating show title, with only Brendan Cole and Regan Gascoigne, who are both 3/1, ahead of her in the betting.

Another notable contestant that has been backed is Rachel Stevens, who is 8/1 from 11/1, while Liberty Poole is on the drift at 13/2 from 11/2.

Rupert Adams, Spokesperson for William Hill, said: “It had appeared that punters saw this year’s Dancing On Ice being between Brendan Cole and Regan Gascoigne, but there seems to be a changing of the tide and they are beginning to side with Kimberly Wyatt.

“The Pussycat Dolls singer has been really well supported in recent days and is now 9/2 from 6/1 for the trophy, with Rachel Stevens another who has been backed at 8/1 from 11/1.

“The market is still headed by Cole and Gascoigne at 3/1, but it’s pretty obvious punters don’t think it’s quite as clear cut as the betting suggests," he added.

Dancing on Ice starts at 6:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
