Phillip Schofield told his co-host Holly Willoughby "shut your face" during Thursday's This Morning after he made an autocue blunder.
The 59-year-old TV star was reading out a link before an advert break when he made a tiny mistake and jumbled up his words.
"Right still to come get ready to jump up to… errr... be on your feet because we’ll be continuing This Morning’s musical week with another…" Phillip said as Holly started to giggle.
"Shut your face Willoughby, I don’t make many but when I do..." he hit back as the mum-of-three apologised whilst continuing to laugh at her friend.

"It was a tiny mistake, you pounce on me like a rabid dog!" Phillip told his pal, as she added: "Because you never make a mistake and I always do so when you do it I just really enjoy it, sorry!"
Shouting the correct words, Phillip said: "Jump up on your feet! We've got an unmissable performance from the cast of the Tina Turner musical."

As This Morning went to the ad break, Holly and Phillip could still be heard laughing in the background.
But it wasn't the only dig that Phillip made on Thursday's instalment as earlier on in the show he blasted guest Matthew Wright and his hairdo.
After watching the new trailer for the highly-anticipated Friends reunion, Matthew commented: "You can see who’s been eating all the pies can’t you?"

Phillip was clearly unimpressed with his remark and hit back: "Oh you’re so mean! stop judging people so horribly! Look at your bloody ponytail!"
Not phased by the dig, Matthew shook his head from side-to-side shouting: "Where? Where?" as the cameraman gave viewers a closer look at his hair from the back.
Matthew then added: "I still fancy Lisa Kudrow! Lisa is still absolutely beautiful, looks untouched by surgeon’s hands which only adds to her appeal."
"Oh you are a shocker!" Phillip added, but it's not the first time he has made a comment about Matthew's grey ponytail.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
