As the Denver Broncos prepare to play a season during the COVID-19 pandemic, the team has put many safety protocols in place to help keep players safe while at the UCHealth Training Center.
Players wear masks and social distancing tracers and the facility is disinfected every day. Players are also tested daily.
Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay believes the team’s staff has done an excellent job keeping players healthy.
“The staff up from the janitors to all the coaches have been doing a phenomenal job of keeping it safe and coming in and cleaning right after us and stuff like that,” Lindsay said on Tuesday. “Honestly, I feel like the janitors should get a pay raise for what they have to do to keep the place running.”
Denver defensive lineman Jurrell Casey echoed Lindsay’s praise.
“I definitely feel safe,” Casey said Tuesday. “The processes that they’ve put in place, the protocols, have definitely been beneficial so far. The way they test and the way we keep ourselves away from each other and keeping our hygiene up has been key so far.
“We’ve been great in this organization. I can’t speak for all the others around the league, but I know here with the Broncos, we’ve definitely been doing the right protocols to keep ourselves and our guys healthy.”
