Philippines records 2,426 new coronavirus cases, 58 deaths

The Philippines' health ministry on Wednesday confirmed 2,426 new coronavirus infections and 58 additional deaths.

In a bulletin, the ministry said total confirmed cases had increased to 311,694, nearly a third of which were reported in September alone, while deaths had reached 5,504.
